Are you wondering how to download Gear VR apps?
Let’s find out.
How to Download Gear VR Apps?
To download VR applications for your mobile device, go to the Oculus Home page (or Samsung) and choose either the store or Install option. Then, follow the on-page instructions to confirm the application’s download.
Best Samsung Gear VR Games, Apps, and Experiences
Virtual Virtual Reality
One of the best Daydream games is also one of its rivals, as well as the brilliant Virtual Virtual reality is now available for GearVR (as well as Oculus Go).
It’s a delightful puzzle/platformer built in the comedic mold similar to Portal but with a very different experience at its core.
Artificial Intelligence has already taken over our lives, and the AI brains that we’re now looking for humans to complete odd jobs are called ‘artificial artisanal companions’.
That “virtual virtual reality” thing. It’s really weird, but it’s one of the real VR highlights on any platform right now.
Minecraft
Minecraft in VR? It seems like everyone wants to get their hands on these things. The Gear VR version is essentially the same as the other editions but offers multiplayer action only now you’re immersed in the blocky world.
First-person games can be fun, but they can also be overwhelming. To help players get into the groove, some games let them play from a television screen within a pixelated room.
If you’re into Minecraft, you’ll definitely want to have it everywhere in VR. And if not, now’s the perfect chance to give it a go.
Zombie Gunship Raptor
Not thrilled with the thought of having to get too close to the zombies? Why not shoot them from a distance? That’s what Zombie Gunship Raptor offers, turning the fun mobile game into an immersive virtual reality blaster.
You’ll use your floating perches in the sky to shoot down invading hordes of zombies using machine guns and rocket launchers. It’ll be fun for a bit, but not the most long-lived VR game you’ll play on the Gear VR.
Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay
The Last Jedi has brought some Star Wars excitement back into its many, many ardent followers, and fortunately Droid Repair Bay lets us get our hands on a tiny little part of the movie’s universe.
It’d be a pretty simple task if not for the fact that you’re repairing droids.
You’ll be able to play around with the droids at Droid Repair Bay, which isn’t the biggest part of Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ s media blitz, but it’ll be free and definitely worth checking out if you own a Gear VR.
Augmented Empire
Like Hitman Go, which was released for PlayStation 4 and PC earlier this year, the Gear VR exclusive Augmented Empire doesn’t really need to be in virtual space. After all, you’ll spend most of the game staring down at a grid board and moving characters around.
Even though this is an incredible game that you can only experience using Gear VR, it might satisfy your desire to use the Gear VR for something deeper.
It’s a cyberpunk meets steampunky tactics game offering up great graphics, great sound effects, and about ten hours of gameplay to enjoy.

They Suspect Nothing
Coatsink makes a lot of fun Gear VR games, including Augmented Empire and the recently released Esper. Now they’ve added another one to their roster: They Suspect Nothing.
You’re going undercover as an android in a future where humans live side-by-side with robotic overlords. To prove your android origin, you’ll need to perform a series of tests.
It’s an indie game compilation, and the games themselves aren’t bad at all – but they’re not particularly memorable either.
Oculus Rooms
You may already know people who own a Gear VR, and if they do, you might be interested in downloading the free Oculus Rooms application for Android phones.
With this app, you and your friends can join a virtual space where you can chat, play a few video game titles, and even launch into multiplayer gaming sessions.
It’s a perfect place to hang out — complete with compatibility for your customized, cartoonish Oculus avatars.
Smash Hit
Smash Hit VR is an adaptation of a pretty good mobile game, but it’s even better when you’re immersed in this wonderfully destructive environment.
You’re automatically nudged through various art galleries, museums, and shops as you throw balls at the glass-paned windows and sculptures scattered throughout them.
It’ll be an arcade experience, really. Continued play requires careful aiming and breaking every last piece of glass. In VR, it will be a thrilling experience, full of rewarding thrills and beautiful sights!
Hitman Go: VR Edition
Hitman GO scaled down the stealth assassin game for mobile devices but, surprisingly, proved an ideal fit for VR, too!
The core idea hasn’t changed here: each level consists of a series of puzzles, challenges, and obstacles that must be overcome to reach the end.
Given the game‘s perfect faux plastic look, in VR it actually feels like you’ve been playing on a real surface with tiny miniature figurine characters. Hitman GO was already great, and adding VR enhancements just slightly enhances the experience.
Land’s End
Land’s end has some similarities to Monument Valley, the beautiful puzzle platformer from Ustwo Games. But Land’s End is much less complex than Monument Valley.
You won’t be able to twist yourself into any position to solve these brainteasers. Instead, you’ll simply look around at the landscape and move your eyes from one object to another.
It’s not particularly challenging but it’s a lot of fun to explore. There’s a real sense of atmosphere created by the calm, natural surroundings and there’s just enough mystery to keep us going forward.
Conclusion
There are plenty of reasons why you should consider getting a Gear VR headset. You could use it to watch movies, play games, or even browse the web.
But it’s also possible to use it for more practical purposes. If you work from home, then you could use it to view documents or presentations while sitting comfortably in a chair.
