Diablo III was one of the most popular PC titles ever released, selling over 20 million units. Given the popularity of the game, we can expect the next installment to be equally successful.
Diablo III was originally released only for the PC platform, but the Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo III came out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, which increased the total player base significantly.
Diablo IV
Cross-Platform Gameplay
During an announcement for Diablo IV, Blizzard revealed that the game will include cross-platform gameplay and no region lock.
Players from different platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.) will be able to connect with each other regardless of which platform they use.
Despite being region-locked, Diablo 3 became one of the most popular games ever made, so we can only assume how successful Diablo 4 will become.
No Region Locking
Amongst the announcements made during Blizzcon was the fact that there would be no region-locking for World of Warcraft expansions.
