Missions in Uncharted Space Update Patch Notes

New features

  • Now we’re fully compatible with Steam Deck, and we’ve been verified by Steam.
  • We’ve optimized game stability across all major gaming consoles. In particular, we focused on Nintendo Switch, which gamers should notice improved gameplay. We will keep evaluating the performance of each platform to improve the overall experience.
  • It’s cold out, so we’ve updated many of the fireplaces in Dreamlight Valley to let you manually light them. Exclusions are the Horned Tavern Fire Place, Cozy Fireplace, Antique Furnace, and Celestial Fireplace.
  • Kristoff has added new products to his stall. There might be some iron ingot in there.
  • Improved the way trees were distributed across all biomes. Now, the woods feel less random and there are fewer chances for finding rare items. However, the number of trees found in each type of forest has increased.
  • To increase the number of treats available to critter friends, we buffed their stomach capacity so they could eat multiple treats at once.
  • Improved game performance across all platforms.
  • Smaller game install sizes.
  • Improved the loading of game content so that players get better performance.
  • Optimized for performance so that there would be fewer frame drops due to animation.
  • Improving the overall efficiency and memory usage of large garden setups.
  • Improved game performance by removing dried plants from the scene.
  • Optimized various VFX to improve game performance.
  • Fixed memory leaks which caused performance issues and system failures under certain conditions.
  • Improved item limit feedback in furniture edit mode by adding a second on-screen count. The top count track the number of different pieces placed in the valley, while the bottom count tracks the total number of pieces including duplicated pieces. This should give more clarity when hitting these limits, as like before, if you hit either limit, you won’t be able to place any more pieces in your valley.

Bug fixes

  • All avatars now have the same animation speed. Specifically, you will see that crop watering and cooking animations have been updated to reflect these changes.
  • We’ve confirmed that critter friends aren’t plotting against you. Friends who have been fed will now correctly appear in your collection list.
  • Now, whenever you take selfies, the avatar will always face the camera.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes the return to title screen button would cause a soft lock.
  • When new resources are collected, the collection list updates automatically.
  • If you’ve already completed the Dark Crystal quests, then you should now be able to finish the “A Deal With Ursula” quests.
  • “Photo Fervor” quest: The Elephant Graveyard can now be properly photographed.
  • “The Dreamlight Quest: The Celebration Ribbon” has been fixed so that it will now properly recognize when it is near the fountain.
  • If players encounter a block when they’re trying to complete the “Part of His World,” quest, they’ll be able to get their Nautilus consumable back, which should allow them to progress through the quest.
  • “Lair Sweet Lair”: When Goofy redid his house, he lost a quest-critical piece of parchment. He found it again and put it back where it belonged.
  • “Peacemaking” quest: Improved collisions with palm trees so that Leader Shards and other items don’t get stuck inside them.
